When booking a DJ for an event, you are wondering how your DJ will perform with your group. Each gathering is different and because a DJ has done an excellent job with others in the past, how do you know you’ll get the same results?

In our case, we had the same thoughts and concerns. However, when the night hit, it became crystal clear how important the preparation Robbie had us do was. Thanks to Robbie and his hard work, our night, from the entrance to the last song, went flawlessly. The only advice I can offer is to enjoy it, as it’ll be over in what feels like a second!

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Bob DJ our wedding a few weeks ago. I can't stress enough how great he was throughout the entire process. He made this part of the wedding stress free and we can't thank him enough for that. He's a great communicator, easy-going, and a very skilled DJ.

The initial planning couldn't of been easier - one informal meeting at a bar and before we knew it we were picking songs for our wedding. And if you don't know which songs you want he puts a list together for you. Like I said above, he is a very good communicator and this part of the process was straightforward and easy. When the wedding day finally came the music part of it went off without a hitch. And when the dancing started it didn't stop until the final song ended; it seemed like everyone was on the dance floor the entire time. We received many compliments on the music selection (which I like to think was mostly my doing but in reality it was all Bob). The flow was great and everyone had a blast.

We highly recommend Bob. He knows his stuff, gives you options, and even takes a request or two. He's a great DJ and you won't regret choosing him!

Robert Greel was such a great DJ for Paul and my wedding on September 2. Robert is a gem in so many ways! He invests in his clients and becomes a true partner to make your event a success. In our initial call with Robert, he spent about an hour talking through how he works and answering many questions we had. He was a true professional and exhibited ethical behavior with us which was what made us want to sign with him. Robert emailed us a plan sheet to help us think through our special day and sent song links for recommendations to help us make decisions. We met up with him for dinner one night and talked through the entire evening. He was patient with us and helped make suggestions as there were so many decisions to make! He followed up with a call the week before the wedding to finalize everything and to ensure he was pronouncing the bridal party's names correctly. Robert was always positive, always had recommendations and truly cared about making the evening what we wanted it to be. I felt like he was part of the family by the time the wedding happened. We would recommend Robert to anyone and are so incredibly grateful that he shared in our special day with us!

My husband and I asked Robert to DJ our wedding this summer and he did an awesome job!! He met with us early on to help put together a plan for the music and answer all our questions, plus had a bunch of helpful suggestions. He was great about checking in throughout the planning process and making sure we had everything we needed. The day of the wedding was fantastic. He was there early to set up and talk to us, and everything went perfectly. Our guests loved the music and everybody was out on the dance floor until the very end. He managed to work in all the random types of music we listen too, plus a very sweet tribute to my grandmother, who had passed away a month before. (He even brought my mother some flowers!)

He does a great job of balancing being professional and being friendly, and was able to make us feel at ease the entire time. The music was probably the easiest part of planning for us because of Robert. We would absolutely recommend him!

My wife and I had the great pleasure of working with Robert for our June 2016 wedding. I truly can't say enough about how wonderful Robert was throughout the entire process. We first connected with him a little over a year before our wedding and he patiently worked with us to craft a quote within our budget. In the months before the wedding we met with Robert in person and chatted by email and over Skype. He was always quick to respond to our questions and was flexible about scheduling our conversations. We loved working with Robert to craft a playlist that had our favorite songs, along with songs Robert knew would get everyone on the dance floor.

The day of the wedding, Robert went above and beyond to make sure our day went smoothly. We did not have a day-of coordinator, but Robert stepped up in so many ways to keep our reception on track. From connecting with our other vendors to keeping us on schedule, his many patient efforts helped bring our reception to life exactly the way we had envisioned it. If all this wasn't enough, our guests loved the dance set, and Kim and I loved celebrating with our family and friends on the dance floor.

Not only is Robert an amazing DJ and professional, but he is one of the kindest, most down-to-earth people we met through the wedding planning process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Robert, and we will definitely work with him again in the future.

Robert was the DJ for our wedding on July 22, 2016. We met him in late Fall by chance as we were touring our wedding venue and he was there setting up for another wedding. I can't say enough good things about the work he did for us and the performance he provided at our wedding. His first impression was a friendly, down-to-earth and ready to party kind of guy. He worked so hard over the course of many months to make sure our special day was a reflection of our personalities and values. He did this by meeting with us in our neighborhood multiple times in preparation, in addition to phone calls and video chats and just being generally available to us. He created collaborative and personalized playlists for the wedding ceremony, the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. Each playlist had a very specific vibe and Robert was very patient as we worked to make the playlists perfect. He is patient and knowledgable and professional and kind and just generally one of the best choices we made when it came to how our wedding day was going to look and feel. He truly took the time to get to know us and has a special way of connecting to all the wedding guests, from the youngest to the oldest, the most traditional to the least traditional. Long before our wedding day arrived, Robert felt like a true friend. He did a phenomenal job for us and we couldn't recommend him any more strongly to anyone looking for a DJ.

We were so glad to work with Robert. Over three months we met with him 3 or 4 times to work out the music and the schedule for the evening. We didn't use a party planner and were so grateful to Robert. With his years of experience working weddings he was able to share with us things he had seen, gave us ideas for how much time things take and some strategies for making the evening successful. Best of all was the amount of music he has. He really worked with us on developing the playlist. At first were were like "just do whatever you think will be best". He would have been willing to do that, but he guided us to understand that it would be better if we took the time to really think about what music would be important and memorable for us so that he could provide the best mix. There was some music that we wanted to hear that wasn't really dance music, so he helped us think about where it could fit into the evening nicely. 1.) Bob is a stud. He is the absolute man. He brings customer service to the DJ business. He is a true servant. He went above and beyond to cater to exactly what my wife and I wanted and I cannot stress it enough am willing to provide a ton of details but I don't know that you want to read all of that :-). He was on a first name basis with my immediate family and wedding parties and was working the floor with every guest. He brought the energy to the table and created the hype (as my wife and I saw fit). He created an experience. If you are familiar with the show Bar Rescue, Bob Greel is the John Taffer of the DJ world. To him, it is a science. Guest entertainment is his science. He is brilliant. I recommend him to everyone. You won't be disappointed.

2.) he had everything accounted for. He was willing to structure things by the minute to minute basis as we saw fit but my wife and I had a more casual style. Having known Bob before our wedding, I know I trusted him. Because I knew his style and his ability to get people to have a good time, I gave him instructions to not play songs with profanity, gave him my vision for what dinner, reception, ceremony looked and sounded like, along with specific requests and his ability to emcee and coordinate and mix music is outstanding. His style is your vision. He adapts and surpasses expectation. Bob created a crescendo to our reception. We had a good old fashion party and those who "don't dance" were on the floor for most of the night thanks to him. His emcee style is appropriate. He doesn't talk to much and when he does it is audible, clear, articulate and professional. He is always smiling and has more confidence than anyone. I can't say enough about him. I doubt your wedding day would be as fun is could be without him. He is just on the money, so to speak.

3.) not one thing. I have high expectations working full time in customer service for the last 10 years. Bob treated me better than I think I would be capable of treating someone in his position. His preparation and expertise were evident throughout the whole experience. His genuine servanthood and accommodation was surpassing every expectation. I'm deeply grateful to him. My guests still tell my wife and I how it was the best wedding they ever attended. He was the first one there and the last to leave. He was completely ready for the evening. Spent a long time before and after talking with guests who approached him. He humbly accepts compliments and encouragement from guests and he is just so spot on. Wedding days are sources of anxiety in every way. Bob was a constant, unwavering contribute to our experience. You are missing out without him. Let me know if I can help in any way.

We used BE Weddings for DJ services, uplighting, and photobooth - and what a great choice that was! I primarily communicated with Robert (aka DJ El Rey) who does all of the coordination and service match-ups. I want to say that Robert is pretty much what makes BE Weddings great - he's easy to work with, responsive, open to ideas, and really cared about making our wedding what we wanted. He took the time to get organized with us, listen to our likes/dislikes, and made suggestions to help us along. Robert was charged with music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He was 100% on point, moving from instrumental covers from our ceremony, to lounge music for cocktail hour, and blending a mix of top 40 hits sprinkled with some country and rock.

During the reception, to get things going, Robert grabbed his mic and led our guests to classics like the cha cha side. We appreciated his high-level of energy and enthusiasm that got our party started. Lots of our guests commented that he was great. There were a couple bumps along the way in terms of timing/announcements, but Robert just rolled with it. He easily accommodated a couple requests that I had - playing a song as a joke for a friend and tweaking his uplighting equipment to transition back and forth between specific colors. It all went over exactly that I envisioned. I highly recommend Robert as a DJ for any event.

Robert was an amazing DJ! he not only worked with us to provide the music that we both wanted but he also animated the wedding! the first I told Robert was that I was born and raised in South America so I wanted everyone in my wedding dancing! and he clearly made it happen!. We had a weird blend of music as I wanted a ton of latino beats and my husband wanted American beats, Robert worked great by blending both! we had from Salsa to Country Music in our wedding. It was really amazing.

We had a gorgeous venue, delicious food and an open bar. I thought everyone was gonna be pumped for the open bar or food or decoration... nope, they just mentioned how amazing the DJ was! I am really happy we had him and I would recommend it to anyone else. Plus the price is very budget conscious too. I don't think we could have had a better DJ for our wedding.

Working with Robert Greel and Brendan Burchill was a pleasure! We hired Brendan as our DJ and Robert as our percussionist, and we couldn't be happier that we did! When I first talked to Robert on the phone, we clicked instantly and I knew that he was the guy for us! Murphy’s Law puts it so well – “what can go wrong will” - and that statement couldn’t be truer the day before our wedding. We originally hired a talented singer from our hometown in Chicago to fly out east to perform at our wedding on Cape Cod. As luck would have it due to various situations at the airports in Chicago he was unable to catch a flight which left us without a wedding singer/music/DJ… less than 24 hours before our wedding. Thankfully, to the credit of our wedding coordinator, she reached out to BE Weddings and after shuffling a few commitments around, they were able to accommodate providing us a DJ even that last minute.

To say they were accommodating is simply an understatement. They were wonderful! They genuinely sympathized with my evident anxiety and stress and instantly made me feel as ease and assured me they had everything under control (which they did). The Director, Rob, called me right away to go through my preferred song selections, made sure he had a clear understanding of our musical tastes for the cocktail hour and dinner portion of the day in order to relay everything appropriately to our newly appointed DJ. All in all, we were so lucky BE Weddings was so wonderful in making what could have been a really unfortunate situation a positive one!

Our DJ Robert Greel was awesome! We saw him do our friend's wedding and knew that he needed to do ours. It was very easy to book and plan everything. We scheduled an appointment to meet up with him in Cambridge to talk about what type of music we liked etc. He talked us through different time lines we could do which was very helpful. I ended up giving him a huge list of songs I liked because I am anal like that. When the day came, everything went perfectly. The flow was great. We knew exactly when each event should happen (the speeches, cake cutting, etc) so we didn't have to worry about that on our day. He even put together a sick mix for my wife and I to do a special dance to later on in the night. He went above and beyond our expectations!

We had DJ El Rey from BE Wedding as our DJ for our wedding reception and he was amazing! He really went above and beyond what we ever expected from a DJ. Vadala Wedding

We had DJ El Rey from BE Weddings as our DJ for the reception and cocktail hour and he was spectacular! Both my husband and I have large, vocal and diverse families and friends. We needed a DJ that could wrangle the crowd and keep the party going, and he did just that. We had kids at the wedding and we requested some songs that were not kid appropriate (without knowing it). He listened to the songs in advance and let us know, and gave us alternatives - so helpful! He kept everyone on the dance floor for the rest of the night and kept everyone in line. He was more $ than we originally wanted to spend, but worth it (and less than some of the other DJs we talked to). I'm so glad he was part of the wedding and would recommend him again.
